Creating tag in layout dxl and have it appear as a link

I have external links that I would like to represent in layout DXL as "pretty" links.
I want to grab the description(extLink) and the body(extLink) and format it like this:

linkDesc = description(extLink)
linkBody = body(extLink)
linkDesc

and have it display as

linkDesc

that is a hyper link to the linkBody

Any help is appreciated.
